Remarks Friday 23rd Towards Otaheite

 1 pm: Fresh Breezes and fair Weather

 2 pm: Saw some Albatrosses and brown Sheerwaters

 3 pm: Unbent the new and bent the old Mainsail

 5 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual

 7 pm: Before Dark In 2nd Reef topsails and Handed Top Gallant Sails

10 pm: Squally in 3rd Reef Fore topsail

11 pm: In 3rd Reef Main topsail

12 mid: Fresh Breezes and Squally at Times

 2 am: A Fire kept all Night in the Galley

 3 am: Many luminous Blubbers particularly in the Ships Wake as on the 18th

 4 am: Dark Cloudy Weather

 5 am: Moderate Breezes and fine Weather at Day break – Made all Sail

 8 am: Ditto Weather

 9 am: Washed below and aired with Fires

10 am: Unbent the new and bent the old Jibb

11 am: People washing and mending their Cloaths Wort as usual – Sailmakers repairing the new Fore sail

12 noon: At [noon] Moderate Breezes and Cloudy Weather with fine Intervals
