5 am: At Day break, Out all Reefs, Set Steering sails &c
6 am: The Upper Decks washed according to Custom every Morning
8 am: Saw a Flock of Sheerwaters and some Skip jacks – Cleaned below and aired with Fires
9 am: People employed under the Boatswain making Points &c Wort at the Usual Time Exercised the Pinnaces Crew at Small Arms and the Marines at Platoon Firing
11 am: A Cask of Spruce Beer broached and given instead of Wine
12 noon: Fresh Breezes and fair Weather
