Remarks Monday March 12th 1792 Providence

 1 pm: Moderate Breezes and dark hazey Weather

 2 pm: Out 2nd Reef of the Main & 3rd of the Fore topsail

 4 pm: Misty unpleasant Weather

 6 pm: Up top gallant yards & set the Sails

 7 pm: Pumps worked as usual

 8 pm: Moderate Breezes and hazey Weather

10 pm: A Hand kept out at the Jib boom as usual to look out

12 mid: A Fire kept all Night in the Galley

 2 am: Unpleasant Weather as before

 4 am: Thick misty Weather inclinable to Rain

 6 am: Constant Rain & thick Fog

 8 am: Rain ceased & rather clearer

 9 am: Cleaned below and Aired with Fires

10 am: Wort served as usual – People making Points &c A Puncheon of Spruce Beer broached & given instead of Wine Sailmakers repairing Mizen topsail

12 noon: Light Breezes & foggy Weather
