1 pm: Moderate breezes and fair weather – Exercised the Boat's Crews at Small Arms – Sailmakers about the Sails and some people repairing the Quarter Deck Nettings – Cloudy weather – One of the Carpenter's Crew run a chissel of ¼ of an Inch breadth into his side – prevented penetrating the Cavity of the stomach by one of his ribs
6 pm: In 1st reef Topsails
7 pm: Moderate breezes and fair weather
8 pm: A dark cloudy sky to the westward – Some haze with a large Halo round the Moon.
12 mid: Cloudy weather
3 am: Ditto Weather
4 am: At 4 Moderate breezes and Cloudy – a Dew falling.
5 am: Out 1st reef Top Sails – saw a Sheerwater and some Porpoises – The sea exceedingly smooth.
8 am: Breakfast for the Men as usual. Employed washing their Cloaths – New strapped the Main Lift Blocks – People had to day Krout & Sweet Wort; and Bore Cole with their Pease soup – Served Wine
12 noon: A fine breeze & cloudy – Assistant in company
