Bond's Providence Logbook Mar 29, 1792

Remarks &c Thursday 29th March 1792

 1 pm: Light breezes and fine weather – Exercised the boats Crews at small Arms

 4 pm: Cloudy Weather

 5 pm: Carpenter employed caulking the Launch and Sailmakers repairing the Awnings – Worked the Pumps as usual – Down steering sails and in 1st reef Topsails

10 pm: Light breezes and cloudy

 4 am: Light breezes and tolerably clear weather

 7 am: Out 1st reef Top Sails – Pleasant weather – Exercised Great Guns and Marines firing with Small Arms – Had a thorough wash below. Served the usual allowance of Anitscorbutics viz – Portable Soup Gruel, Sweet Wort, Sour Krout, & Borecole in Pease soup. – Carpenters & Sailmakers employed as necessary. Saw several Skip-jacks. Broached a puncheon of Spruce Beer

12 noon: Moderate breezes.
