Saturday 14 Moderate and pleasant weather. received Boatswains stores – got the Tops over head and began to rig the Bowsprit – AM. Ditto Weather. employed stowing the Hold and setting up the Lower rigging – received Carpenters stores and got off a spare Anchor .. Artificers employed as before
Sunday 15 Ditto Weather. Employed as before
Monday 16 Moderate breezes and fair received 5 tons of shingle Ballast – employed rigging the Main Yard and fitting the ground tier at last quarter Ebb
Tuesday 17 Moderate and pleasant weather set up the lower rigging fore and aft – received Carpenters stores . AM. strong gales with rain, got the spare Anchor into the Hold
Wednesday 18 Strong gales with rain received 5 tons of Iron Ballast and several casks of Provisions – employed stowing the after Hold and about the rigging – got off the Top Mast Caps and cross-trees.
Thursday 19 Strong gales with rain – pointed the Top Masts through the Caps and put over the cross-trees : got the Fore Yard across and [cat?pen'd] in the main rigging – finished filling the ground tier. Received 2 fathoms of Wood from Mr. Perry's yard and Boatswains stores from the King's yard – Artificers still employed
Friday 20th Fresh gales with hazy weather got off the Top Mast rigging and some Boatswains stores – rigged the Fore and Main Top Masts. AM. more Moderate swayed up the Top masts & Fore Yard – Carpenters in the Fore rigging Moderate; received on board the Mizen Top Mast rigging. Caulkers and Carpenters employed on board
N.B. Found great inconvenience in not having a Hulk for our People while we were fitting out
