Providence Logbook Nov 14, 1792

Remarks Wednesday 14th November 1792 Towards [Cape of Good Hope]

 1 pm: Moderate and fair Weather. Out 2nd Reefs

 2 pm: Saw an Albetross

 5 pm: Up Main Top Gallant Yard. Too much Sea from the Westward to do more.

12 mid: Light Winds

 4 am: Up Fore Top Gallant Yard. Out Reefs

 5 am: Saw a Pintada Bird

 7 am: Inclinable to Calm.

 8 am: Served Hot Breakfast as usual. Portable Soup in the Pease for Dinner, Krout as usual.

 9 am: Washed and dried below with fires. Carpenters Caulking Quick Work. Hands Picking Oakum. Sailmakers repairing the Jibb.

11 am: Exercised Small Arms. Saw Albetrosses.

12 noon: Calm and fair Weather Great Swell from the Westward, Ship rolling at times very deep.
