4 pm: Fresh Breezes and Cloudy threatning Rain.
5 pm: Out 2nd Reefs.
6 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual. Saw a Curlew.
8 pm: In 2nd Reefs.
10 pm: Light Winds backing to the SW. Made the Signal & Wore Ship.
1 am: Very Squalley and thick Weather spitting Rain. Close Reefed the Top Sails and down Top Gallant Yards. Great Head Sea.
4 am: Moderate with very heavy Clouds.
5 am: Out 3rd Reefs
6 am: Saw an Albetross, and a Whale.
8 am: Fresh Breezes and fair Weather. Hot Breakfast as usual and Krout every day.
9 am: Cleaned below and Aired with Fires. Exercised Great Guns.
10 am: Sailmakers repairing Top Gallant Sails. Hands picking Oakum.
11 am: Surveyed Old Rope.
12 noon: Moderate and Fair Weather. Assistant in Company. Broached a Puncheon of Spruce Beer. Much Sea from the Westward.
