2 pm: Saw Albetrosses and Sheerwaters.
4 pm: Light Winds, Fish
6 pm: Let fresh Water into the Ship and Worked the Pumps.
8 pm: In 1st. Reefs and Set Fore and Fore Top Mast Steering Sails.
4 am: Fine Weather. Out Reefs and made all Sail.
6 am: Albetrosses Sheerwaters and some Albecores.
7 am: Served Hot Breakfast as usual, Portable Soup in the Pease for Dinner and Krout as usual.
8 am: Washed the After Cockpit and Cabbins out with boiling Water
Dried with Fires. Carpenters Caulking the Quick Work.
10 am: Marines Exercising at Small Arms.
12 noon: Fine Weather. Still considerable Swell from the WSW. Broached a
Puncheon of Spruce Beer.
The Thermometer to day was 1 Degree higher on Deck than in its place.
