Remarks &c

Monday December 24th Moderate breezes and fair weather – PM People employed about the Rigging – Sailmaker repairing the old Main Top Gallant Sail – Carpenters blackening the bends – Opened a Cask of Beef No 176 conhtents 66 double pieces – aM struck the Tent and received on board the remainder of the water – People employed stowing it away – Up all Chests & Bags, washed the Gun, Orlop, and Cockpit Decks Broached a puncheon of Spruce Beer – Served bore cole and portable Soup thickened with Oatmeal for dinner
   Ships Draught of Water Foreward 15 Feet..3 Inches Abaft: 15..8

Tuesday December 25 Moderate breeze and fair weather – employed stowing the Holds – AM sent a partie to gather wateer Cresses, Washed the decks – received a turn of water per Launch – Served water cresses

Wednesday December 26th Moderate breeze and fine weather – AM Sent a Partie to gather water Cresses – served them to the Crew – Struck the Main Top Gallant Mast hooped it where sprung & swayed it up again – employed in the Spirit Room – Washed the Gun, Orlop, & cockpit decks – broached a Puncheon of Spruce beer
