1 pm: Moderate and fair weather
4 pm: Assistant leading a head round the Northern part of the Reefs (first seen) which we could barely see from the mast head
6 pm: At 6 the Reef from the Top Gallant Mast head bore South 7 or 8 Miles distant
8 pm: Spoke the Assistant, & hauled the wind on the Starboard Tack – Noddies about
10 pm: Tacked per Signal – very fine weather and moon light
12 mid: Tacked per Signal – Noddies about the Ship
1 am: The Assistant leading on each Tack with a light
4 am: At 4 ye Breakers from the Mast head about South 2 or 3 miles distant – Tacked Ship
6 am: At 6 bor up the Assistant leading. The Breakers from the Mast head South 7 or 8 Miles
8 am: At 8 fresh breezes and fair weather – The breakers just in sight aloft from SbE to SEbS – Served thick gruel for breakfast – Mustered in Divisions, after which Captain Bligh read prayers to the watch below, in the Cabin – Served Krout, besides the same article in the Pease
11 am: At ¾ past 11 The Assistant made the Signal to denote seeing breakers, and to Sail between the South & West – Saw the Breakers from the Mast head bearing from WSW to WBN – Passed an old Tree covered with barnacles and a Turtle – Saw Boobies, Noddies, The black Gull, and a few of a white kind
12 noon: At Noon a strong breeze and fair weather with haze The water of a light color
