Monday 14 PM Moderate & fine Weather AM Ditto Weather Arrived The Chaser South Whaler of London Lloyd Master came from [Delacau? not Delaware] Bay & has procured 1200 Barrels of Whale Oil & 50 Ditto of Sperme & a French Slave Ship Roused up the Small bower Cable & got up the Empty Beef Cask & a full Cask of Pork Stowed the Pork in the [Harness?] Cask & sent the Two Empty Casks on Shore, Coiled the Cable below & Received 7 Halfhogsheads of Water from the Tent At Noon Light Airs & Cloudy Received on board 25 pounds of Fresh Mutton
Tuesday 15 All this day Light Variable winds & fine Weather PM Employed Watering with the Cutter ... Compleated filling the Cask in the Fore hold with Water Carpenter Employed Painting the Ship AM Employed as before & on the Rigging Received on board 85 pounds of Fresh Mutton & 30 pounds of Soft Bread
Wednesday 16 Fresh breezes & Cloudy PM Received 4 Halfhogsheads of Water for present use got all the Swivels Mounted Employed Painting the Ships sides & Quick work Middle part Strong breezes & Hazey with Rain Latter part More Moderate & fine Employed as before & Painting the Swivels Received on board 80 pounds of Fresh Mutton & 24 pounds of Soft Bread
