Saturday 9  Light breezes & Cloudy Employed as before at 6 PM Fresh Gales & Squally with Rain accompanied with Thunder & Lightning Struck Top Gallant masts AM Fresh breezes & Cloudy Swayed up Top Gallant masts & Crossed the yards Loosed Sails to Dry at 11 Furled Ditto At Noon Ditto Weather.

Sunday 10  All these 24 Hours Fresh breezes & Cloudy Weather with Rain at Times People Employed working up Junk

Monday 11  First part Ditto Weather Middle & Latter Strong Gales with heavy Squalls of Rain at 9 AM Struck Top Gallant masts Employed Occasionally Exercised Great Guns & Small Arms

Tuesday 12  First part Fresh Gales & Cloudy with constant Rain Middle Fresh Gales & Squally Latter More Moderate at 9 AM Swayed up Top Gallant masts & Unmoored Ship at 10 Came to Sail in Company with the Providence At Noon abreast the Buoy of the House

Wednesday 13  Fresh breezes & Cloudy at 1 PM Anchored in Girdle hole in 10 Fathoms Water at 4 Weighed & made Sail at 10 Anchored with the Small bower in 19 Fathoms Water North Foreland SbW distance 2 Leagues at 4 Weighed & came to Sail under the Topsails at 6 Set Top Gallant Sails at 8 AM Hove too Main Topsail to the Stars in the Downs . . . Discharged the Pilot
