1 pm: Moderate Breezes and fine Weather with Haze
2 pm: Carpenters painting the Jolly Boat and Sailmakers repairing the old Jib
4 pm: Ditto Weather Saw some Sheerwaters
5 pm: Worked the Pumps, to ventilate the Ship as usual
6 pm: Before Dark, Took in the Fore topmast Studding sail and 1st reef of the Topsails
8 pm: Light Breezes and cloudy Weather A very heavy Dew falling
10 pm: Shortened Sail occasionally to keep the Assistant in her Station
12 mid: Clear Weather A Man constantly looking out at the Topmast Head as usual.
4 am: Moderate Breezes and cloudy Weather
5 am: Set Studding sails and let the reef out of the Mizen topsail – Saw some Sheerwaters & Tropic Birds – Long Swell from the SW
8 am: Moderate Breezes and fine Weather Roused up the small Bower & Sheet Cables, scraped and cleaned the Orlop under them and payed them down again – Carpenters caulking the Quick work of the Fore-castle – Took in Top Gallant studding sails – Broached a Puncheon o Spruce Beer
12 noon: At Noon Fresh Breezes and fine Weather heavy Clouds passing over – Assistant in Company
