Flinders's Providence Logbook Apr 2, 1792

Remarks Monday April 2nd 1792 Providence

 1 pm: Moderate Breezes and fine Weather

 2 pm: Saw three Tropic Birds – The Awning spread and furled before dark – Saw an Egg-Bird

 6 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual

 7 pm: Before Dark In 1st Reefs

 8 pm: Cloudy Weather The Fore Top Mast Steering Sail set

10 pm: Fine Clear Night

12 mid: Light Breezes and Clear Weather

 1 am: A Man out at the Bow sprit end to look out as usual

 4 am: Cloudy to Windward which produced a light Shower of Rain

 5 am: At Day break Out 1st Reefs and made all Sail

 7 am: Saw a small brown Sheerwater

 8 am: Fresh Breezes and fine Weather Washed below and aired with Fires – Exercised the Marines at Platoon firing Sweet Wort as usual – Measured the Log-line

11 am: Carpenters repairing the Launch Sailmakers making Caps for the Swivel Locks

12 noon: Moderate Breezes & fine Weather
