Bond's Providence Logbook Jan 21, 1793

Remarks &c Monday 21st January 1793

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and fine weather

 4 pm: Saw a Man of War bird

 6 pm: Worked the pumps

 8 pm: Fine weather

10 pm: In Fore royal and Main Top Mast steering sail.

 2 am: Moderate breezes and clear weather

 3 am: Squally with drops of rain

 4 am: Fine weather Scrubbed the 1st Division of Hammocks

 6 am: Saw many Egg birds

 7 am: Served the usual breakfast

 8 am: Moderate breezes and fine weather – Cleaned below and aired with fires – Carpenters employed making Main Top Gallant Mast. Sailmakers repairing the old Jibb.

11 am: Exercised great Guns – Mustered and took an account of the people's Clothes. Served Vinegar – Bore cole Soup for Dinner.

12 noon: Moderate breezes and fine weather Broached a puncheon of Spruce beer
   Latitude Observed 13°·01′ North.
