Bond's Providence Logbook Jul 22, 1792

Remarks &c Sunday 22nd July 1792

 1 pm: Fresh breezes and fair weather People employed washing and mending their Clothes – Carpenters making stanchions for Quarter Deck Awning

 5 pm: Saw a Tropic bird – Handed Mainsail worked the pumps as usual – In steering sails and 1 & 2 reefs Top Sails.

 8 pm: Furled Top Gallant Sails

10 pm: A little squally – 3rd reefs Top Sails

12 mid: Cloudy – the Assistant ahead, having the advantage in sailing this passage.

 4 am: Moderate and cloudy

 5 am: Out all reefs and set all sails

 6 am: Saw 2 Whales, several Flying fish, and a Man of War bird.

 8 am: Moderate breezes and Cloudy

 9 am: Mustered the People in Divisions and performed Divine Service on the Quarter Deck

11 am: Served Fresh Pork and boiled Plantains to the ships company

12 noon: Less wind and close weather Assistant ahead about 2 miles and half
   Latitude Observed 18°:24′ South
