Bond's Providence Logbook Nov 5, 1791

Remarks &c 5th November 1791

 1 pm: Moderate and cloudy weather

 4 pm: Scrubbed the ships company's Bags

 7 pm: Fresh breezes and cloudy: saw a Cape Hen, some Whales, Albatrosses Pintada birds and different kinds of Sheerwaters

12 mid: Fire in the Galley all night to air the ship

 2 am: Moderate breezes and cloudy weather

 3 am: Frequent squalls and dark to the NW & drizzling rain.

 5 am: Made and shortened sail occasionally for the Tender

 6 am: Small rain.

 7 am: Saw different kinds of birds and some Spermaceti Whales

 8 am: Cloudy. Washed the gun deck and cleaned the orlop. Aired with fires. Caulkers at work on the gun deck and Carpenters overhauling the Windlass.

11 am: Saw a large sun fish.

12 noon: Moderate and hazy, the Assistant in company.
   Latitude Observed 33°:48′ South
