Bond's Providence Logbook Sep 16, 1791

Remarks &c Friday 16th September 1791

 1 pm: Light breezes and fair weather. Carpenters and Armourers employed fixing Brodie's Stoves in the Fore & After Cockpits

 5 pm: Cloudy – light airs, and Lightning in the SW.

 7 pm: Tacked ship.

10 pm: Cloudy weather

12 mid: Light winds and heavy clouds with rain at times

 3 am: Lightning to the Eastward.

 4 am: Light airs, with Thunder & Lightning to the ESE – Every appearance of heavy rain

 6 am: Very dark from SSW to East

 7 am: Rain – Got casks placed on deck to catch rain water from the Awnings

 9 am: A swell from the NE – Kept fires in Brodie's Stoves to air the ship – People employed washing and mending their Clothes

12 noon: Dark cloudy weather with calms and rain. The Air cooler than for many days past.
