Providence Logbook Nov 30, 1792

Remarks Friday 30th November 1792 Towards [Cape of Good Hope]

 1 pm: Strong Gale and Squally. In 3rd Reef Main Top Sail.

 3 pm: Fore Mast Main futtock Shroud and Top Sail Sheet Block Strap gave way, fitted new Ones.

 8 pm: Down Top Gallant Masts.

 4 am: Wore Ship.

 5 am: Gale Moderating. Up Top Gallant Masts and Out Reefs as it became less Wind.

 7 am: Served Hot Breakfast as usual.

 8 am: Fresh Gales and fine Weather a few Pintada Birds and Albetrosses.

 9 am: Cleaned below and Aired with fires.

10 am: Opened a Cask of Pork No. 12 Contents 128 Double Pieces.
Sour Krout and Portable Soup in the Pease for Dinner.

11 am: Sailmakers repairing Top Gallant Sails.

12 noon: Fresh Gale and fine Weather. Under Single Reefs.
   Assistant in Company
