near the shore – The Country appeared
pretty with Lawns & Parks but we found
them natural we however saw smokes
which I considered to be Malays clearing
Ground up the Valleys. —
Since on the Coast I have observed
places on the shore like high roads
leading into the Country from the sea
side. —— Those are said to be
Rivers
