I then ask Christain — for my Trunk which was granted by [but] gave orders that the Log Book or any other Book should not be taken out of my cabin I cannot say — which was in to the Boat first Mr Bligh or my self — I can only say that we were both on the gangway together — after we had been in the Boat a little while — Churchhill call'd to me Mr Fryer, hand out Mr Haywood watch — This watch I had in my Pocket several days — as my own was stop'd - Knowing that watch would be of great service to us I told them that the watch was onboard in my cabin — however they said it was not, and obliged me to hand
it out, all this time there was very bad language made use of, by the People to Captn Bligh. we all beg'd that they would give us two or three muskets into the Boat — Churchill would not he said that Mr Bligh was very well acuainted with the People were [where] he was going — the Boat was order'd astern - after laying there some time they sent four cutlasses into the Boat — frequently some of them said shoot the Buggar — meaning Capt Bligh — for I really believe that every thing was meant at him — they ofttimes repeat'd now let the Buggar see if he can live on three quarter of a pound of yams
