A CARD. – On behalf of Capt. Valentine Lewis of the ship Corinthian, which vessel was lost on Blossom Shoal, Arctic Ocean, on the 30th of August, I have been requested to return his sincere thanks to Captain Jones of the Concordia, Capt. Homan of the Corns. Howland, Capt. Cogan of the Josephine, Capt. Smith of the Vineyard, and Capt. Knowles of the George Howland, for working their ships through the ice to endeaver to render assistance, and rescue the officers and crew. Also, to Capt. Rayner and his lady, for their kindness, when Captain Lewis and wife were taken on board the Reindeer, in a condition more dead than alive, after having been in an open boat in a snowstorm for twelve hours. To all those persons Capt. Lewis feels under a debt of gratitude for their noble and disinterested kindness. ALEX. J. CARTWRIGHT,
