June 16 — Arrived the Montreal, Skeys, master, from London, 36 months out, with 2,000 barrels oil — put in with loss of foremast, mainmast badly sprung — refitting, and will sail for London in 8 or 10 days. June 27 — Arrived the Pocklington, Webster, master, from Sydney, 15 months out, with 1,000 barrels oil — July 25, sailed for the whaling ground. June 30 — Arrived H.M.S. Rattlesnake, Captain Hobson, 15 days from Cloudy Bay — July 5, sailed for Sydney. July 10 — Arrived the Black Warrior* (Salem); Mugford, master, 21 days from Sydney, with merchandise — July 20, sailed for Sydney. July 11 — Arrived the Harriet, Howe, master, from Sydney, 5 months out, 450 barrels oil; to sail 11th August — June 21, spoke the Louisa, Wright, master, from London, 2,200 barrels oil. July 13 — Arrived the Cadmus,* Crowell, master, from Fairhaven, 33 months out, 2,200 barrels oil; to sail 9th August — July 2, spoke the William Stoneld, Davidson, from Sydney, 400 barrels oil. July 14 — Arrived the Aquilla, Drysdale, master, from Sydney, 7 days out, with merchandise; to sail 18th August for the coast. July 19 — Arrived the Clarkson,* Plackett, master, from Nantucket, 35 months, out, 2,900 barrels oil; to sail 11th August for Nantucket. August 2 — Arrived, the Columbine, Lewington, master, Bay of Islands (Mission schonner). August 4 — Arrived the Mineroa (Sydney), Milne, master, 30 days from Vavoa; to sail for Sydney 12th August.
