Massacre of part of the mutineers (Christian, Mills, Brown, Williams, and Martin) by the Tahitians. The Tahiti men all killed part by jealousy among themselves, the others by the remaining Englishmen

A great desire in many of the women to leave the Island, a boat built for the purpose of removing them, launched, and upset. Fortunate for them that she did so, for had they launched out upon the ocean, where could they have gone or what could a few ignorant women have done by themselves, drifting upon the waves but also similarly have fallen a sacrifice to their folly.

August 16th,
a grave was dug, and the bones of all the white men that had been murdered were buried.

August 17th,
the first boat built and launched.

Oct 3, 1794

Oct. 3rd,
the celebration of the murder of the Tahitians was held at Quintal's house.

Nov 11, 1794

Nov. 11th,
a conspiracy of the women to kill all the white men when asleep in their beds was discovered; they were all seized, a disclosure ensued, and all were pardoned.

Nov 30, 1794

Nov. 30th,
the women attacked the white men, but no one was hurt; they were once more pardoned, and threatened the next time with death.
