12:00 pm Fine Weather and a fresh Gale. Shipping much
water and bailing, but it is a blessing that we are going on so rapidly.
Served 1/24 pound Bread and water with the remainder of the Dolphin which
amounted to an ounce per man.
Towards Evening of this day the Wind began to freshen again and continued to blow Strong from the SE, so that we continued to ship much water and suffer wet and cold.
At 4 this afternoon we caught a small Dolphin which is the first releif of the kind we have had. I issued about 2 ounces to each person including the offals, and saved the remainder for Dinner.
At Day Light I as usual heard and felt every miserable complaint. I gave the Surgeon and Lebogue a little Wine, but I could give no farther releif than assurances that a few Days would bring us to Timor, and that were to consider at the fine rate we were going on and endeavor to bear with our situation.
Gannets, Boobies, Men Of War Birds and Tropic Gulls constantly about us.
Served the usual allowance of Bread and water and at noon we dined on the remainder of the Dolphin which amounted to about 1 ounce per man.
