Bounty Logbook Remarks, Mar. 1, 1789

Remarks in Toahroah Harbour Sunday 1st March 1789

The first part moderate Breezes and Calms with heavy Rain, middle and latter part Strong Gales and very heavy Rain and high Breaking Sea running all across Matavai Bay. Wind ENE, Variable, NW. Thermometer 79° and 80°. Sick List 4 Venereals and one Man recovering from an inflamed Arm.

The result of my enquiries mentioned in yesterdays log is certainly correct, as I took many opportunities to determine it, writing down each days account apart and finding them the same on comparison. I did likewise so with the days of the month, placing a row of Pease and the names against each, day after day and I never discovered an Error either in Name or Number. The days of the Month I only got from Tootaah as follows.
