1:00 pm Fresh Gales and Dark Cloudy Weather.

4:00 pm More Moderate out 2nd Reefs, saw a Whale

10:00 pm Small Rain.

Thursday, Sep. 11, 1788

12:00 am Saw a Whale.

8:00 am Ditto. Served Hot Breakfast as usual and Cleaned below.

12:00 pm Dark hazy Weather with a thick mist at times. A few Blue Peterels but no other Birds seen. Under Single Reefs. No Noon Observation but from Double Altitudes soon after the sun passed the Meridian gave the Latitude as per Column.
