9:00 pm Fresh Gales and a fine Moon.
11:00 pm In Steering Sails & first Fore Topsail.
Wednesday, Dec. 26, 1787
2:00 am Gale encreasing and the Sea rising very fast.
4:00 am Strong Gale & Squally.
8:00 am Hard Gales & Squally. In two Reefs Main Topsail and three in the Fore.
9:00 am Handed Main Sail and Mizen Topsail.
12:00 pm Ditto Gales and a very high Sea. Down Top Gallant Yards. No observation.
