May 1793

Friday 10th First and latter part moderate breeze & fine weather – middle part calm and cloudy – PM Received a turn of water per Yard schooner – employed stowing it away – AM Sailmakers, Carpenters and Ships company employed on board the Tender – Received 138 pound fresh beef – Sailed H M S. Hyana with her tender in company – arrived a schooner, Prize to the Tyger Privateer – got up the Sails to air – made the Signal for weekly accounts

Saturday 11th First part fresh breezes with heavy Showers of rain – middle part calm – latter part fresh breezes with haze – PM Dispatched the Resource to Kingston for her Guns ([blank]) People employed mending their cloaths – Answered Penn Signal for a Midshipman & made Signal for a Kittereen – Made the Goelans (The Man of War Brig taken by the Penelope – [since?] [brought?] into H M [Success?]) Assistants, & Advices Signal for Gunners & Carpenters to attend a survey on board H M S. Proserpine) AM Received 130 pound of fresh beef – Up Chests & Bags & washed the Gun, Orlop & Cockpit decks – attended a Survey on board the Proserpine on running rigging – Entered 1 Volunteer

Sunday 12th First part fresh breezes and showers at times, middle part light airs & fair – latter part moderate breeze, dark cloudy weather inclinable to rain – PM anchored here H M Packet Tankerville from Kingston bound to Falmouth Came alongside the Resource Tender from Kingston – AM at Daylight sailed the Resource Schooner on a cruize as Tender to his Majestys Ship Providence And Assistant Brig with 43 Men on board including Officers – Received 119 pound of fresh beef – Cleaned below & mustered in Divisions
