Thursday 28th First and latter part fresh breezes and hazy weather – middle part moderate and fair – PM Carpenters employed painting and repairing the boats – AM Sailmaker employed at ye Yard – sent powder on shore to dry – Carpenters employed on board from the Yard – Received no fresh beef this day
Friday 29th Fresh breezes and fair weather these 24 hours PM received on board the Powder, people employed scraping the upper deck – held a survey per Order Commodore Ford, and condemned 1270 pound of bread – Sailmakers as yesterday – received 107 pound of fresh beef
Saturday 30th First part fresh breezes and hazy, middle part light Airs and fair weather –
Latter part fresh breezes and hazy with showers – PM arrived the Duke of Cumberland Packet from England
– Received on board the sails from the Yard, and 183 pots of plants from Kingston – Sailmakers
employed as yesterday – Answered the Signal for Lieutenants[*] – Received an order to stop all
french vessels – People employed bending Sails &c – Received 107 pound of fresh beef &
served it to the ships company – got up all Chests and bags and washed the Gun, Orlop & Cockpit decks
– Received 18 bags of bread – each 112 pound

Sunday 31st First part fresh breezes with squalls and rain middle part moderate breezes and fair weather – Latter part fresh breezes and hazy – PM sent the small cutter manned & armed & took possession of a french sloop – AM loosed Sails to dry – Received 107 pound of fresh beef and served it to the Ships company – cleaned below – at 11 furled Sails H M Ships Proserpine & Penelope unmoored & dropped in to the fairway – Number of Pryzes taken here amount to eight – four sloops & four schooners
Monday April 1st First and latter parts fresh breezes and fair weather with haze – middle part light breezes – AM Sailmakers employed at the Yard – Sailed H. M. Ships Penelope, Proserpine & Hyana – Received on board 12 french prisoners from the Europa – Boats and people employed securing the Prizes – received 107 pound of beef and served it to the Ships company
