8 pm: Moderate breeze and clear weather – in Lower steering Sails, and the Larboard Fore Top Mast and Top Gallant steering sail
12 mid: Cloudy in starboard Fore Top Mast steering sail
4 am: Light Airs inclining to calm
5 am: scrubbed the 1st Divisions Hammocks
7 am: Saw tropic birds
8 am: People employed unsplicing the outer Best Bower cable and splicing it to the inner
