Friday October 28th

 1 pm: A Fresh Breeze and cloudy weather

 2 pm: Saw some Albatrosses, Pintada Birds and Sheerwaters of Different kinds

 6 pm: Squally with small Rain

12 mid: A Luminous appearance on the water in Spots

 1 am: Moderate Breezes and cloudy weather

 2 am: Squally

 3 am: In Main Top Gallant Sail

 6 am: Found the [?] Rope of the Main Topsail much rubbed and the Sail Torn, unbent it and bent a new one

 8 am: Cleaned below; Caulkers employed in the Cabins Sailmaker repairing the Main Top Gallant Sail – Aired Ship with fires – The Armourer Work at the Forge – Served Crout to the Ships Company – Broached a Puncheon of Spruce Beer

12 noon: At Noon Fresh Breezes and fine weather with a Southerly Swell
