Remarks Thursday 16th In the South Sea

 1 pm: Moderate Breezes and cloudy Weather

 2 pm: Unbent the new and bent the old Jibb
Boats Crews exercised at Small Arms

 5 pm: Squally Weather In Studding sails

 6 pm: Before Dark – In Top gallant Sails and 1st reefs

 8 pm: Fresh Breezes and cloudy Weather In 2nd reefs & the Fore and Main topsails

12 mid: Ditto Weather The Assistant ahead carrying a Light as usual

 4 am: Moderate Breezes and cloudy Weather

 5 am: At Day break – Out reefs – set Top gallant and Studding sails – Saw a Tropic Bird

 8 am: Ditto Weather Aired in the Cockpits with Fires – Unbent the old and bent the second best Mizen topsail – People working up Junk Boats Crews exercised at Small Arms

12 noon: At Noon Fresh Breezes and fair Weather
