1 pm: Fresh Gale & fair Weather – A long Swell from the Westward
4 pm: Squally with light Showers of Rain
6 pm: Squally with hard Showers of Rain – A 1st Reef taken in the topsails
8 pm: Moderate Breezes & fine Night
10 pm: Made Sail occasionally
12 mid: A Fire kept all Night in the Galley
3 am: A light Shower of Rain
4 am: Fresh Breezes with Rain at times
5 am: At Day break Out all Reefs and otherwise made Sail – Saw a small Whale (Fin-back) and two Cape Hens
8 am: Fine Breeze & Cloudy Weather
9 am: Washed and cleaned below – Aired Ship with Stoves People employed making Points & Sailmakers repairing the Foresail – Word served as usual
11 am: Shortened Sail for the Assistant Saw some Rock-weed and two Albatrosses
12 noon: At Noon Fresh Breezes and fair Weather
