Bond's Providence Logbook Jan 13, 1793

Remarks &c Sunday 13th January 1793

 1 pm: Fresh breezes and thick cloudy weather

 2 pm: Clear weather out reefs and set the Fore & Fore Top Mast Steering sails.

 4 pm: Cloudy – Swell from the NE quarter

 5 pm: People washing and mending clothes.

 6 pm: At 6 fresh gales – in steering sails. Top Gallant sails, and 1st reef Main Top Sail. Worked the Pumps.

 8 pm: In 2nd reef Mizen Top Sail.

11 pm: Squally with rain – in 2nd reef Main Top Sail.

12 mid: Cloudy weather

 4 am: Ditto Weather

 6 am: Scv thick Gruel as usual for breakfast

 7 am: Cleaned below and aired with fires

 8 am: Mustered the ships company in Divisions, and performed Divine Service.

10 am: Saw flying-fish. Served sour Krout

12 noon: Fresh gales and thick haze – Sun out at times – Assistant in company
   Latitude Observed 6°:22′ North.
