Bond's Providence Logbook Oct 17, 1792

Remarks &c from Timor towards St. Helena 17th October 1792

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and fine weather

 2 pm: Carpenters employed makinng alterations in the Greenhouse on the Quarter Deck, and erecting a high one for the large Plants – Sailmakers employed – Saw Porpoises.

 7 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual – In Royals & Top Gallant steering sails and spoke the Assistant.

 8 pm: Fresh breezes and fair weather

10 pm: Down Steering sails, and in 1st reef Top Sails

12 mid: Cloudy weather

 5 am: Made all sail – a cross sea from the Southward

 8 am: Served the usual Breakfast

 9 am: Moderate breezes and fair weather – Cleaned ship below aired with Fires, and served Sour Krout and Portable Soup in the Pease for Dinner.

11 am: People employed working up Junk, making Nettings for the Green house &c. Carpenters at the Green House and Cooper making Tubs for the Plants

12 noon: Moderate breezes and fair weather Assistant in company
