Bond's Providence Logbook Sep 23, 1792

Remarks &c Sunday 23rd September 1792

 1 pm: Fresh Trade and fair weather served Slops to the People – Employed washing and mending their Clothes

 4 pm: Carpenters and Sailmaker employed about the Green house

 7 pm: In steering sails, Top Gallant Sails, and 2nd reef Top Sails – Spoke the Assistant

 8 pm: At 8 Hour.20′ Made ye Signal and hauled to the wind Clear weather

11 pm: Wore ship every two hours per Signal during the night

 1 am: Fresh breezes and cloudy.

 3 am: New stropt one of the Mizen Top Sail Sheet Blocks which had given way

 5 am: At ½ past 5 bore up and made all sail. Saw Porpoises, a Water Snake and a Tropic Bird – Passed brown Scum

 7 am: Served thick Portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast

 8 am: Fresh breezes and fine weather cleaned below Mustered the Ships company in Divisions and Performed Divine Service

12 noon: Fresh Trade and fair weather with haze – Assistant leading. Shortened sail and sounded – Served Krout in the Pease for Dinner
