Bond's Providence Logbook Aug 24, 1792

Remarks &c towards Timor 24th August 1792

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and fair weather

 4 pm: Ditto Weather Saw a Gannet Booby so called by Captain Bligh

 6 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual – In steering sails &c. and 1st & 2nd. reefs Top Sails

 8 pm: Moderate breezes and fine clear weather

12 mid: Ditto Weather

 2 am: Heard birds round the ship

 6 am: Fresh breezes and clear weather – Made all sail. Saw a Man of War & some Tropic birds

 8 am: Served thick Portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast

 9 am: Ditto Weather cleaned below – Exercised the Boat's Crews at Small Arms – Served Portable Soup and Sour Krout in the Pease for Dinner

11 am: Sailmakers employed repairing the Main Top Gallant Sail

12 noon: Strong breezes and fair weather – Assistant in company

 Part of ye Trunk of a Tree, covered with Barnacles passed the ship
   Latitude Observed 13°·32′·15″ South
