8 pm: Moderate and clear weather hauled on a wind on the Larboard Tack to avoid dangers &c. off the New Hebrides – Assistant 4 cables on the Lee bow
12 mid: Made the Signal, and wore ship
5 am: Moderate breezes and dark cloudy weather
6 am: At ¼ past 6 bore away and made Sail – saw Flying-fish and a Tropic bird
8 am: Fresh breezes and cloudy weather
9 am: Opened a cask of Otaheite Pork which proved to be very good – Served the usual Breakfast at 8 – and served Sour Krout to the ships company People employed washing and mending their Clothes
