Bond's Providence Logbook Apr 13, 1792

Remarks &c 13 April 1792.

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and fine weather Carpenters employed caulking the sides

 3 pm: The Natives were observed daily to make attacks on the enemy, as one parish might assault another in England, but little danger attended those expeditions; and the death of one or two men made a blooedy campaign

12 mid: Light airs.

 6 am: At 6 unmoored ship and run a Kedge & Hawser out to haul the ship more towards the South shore. Served Pork Bread fruit & Cocoa Nuts to the People

 9 am: Moored ship small Bower anchor inj 12½ fathoms End of the reef bearing N13°W Point Venus N22°E – The Heads of Tarra from S9°W to S29°W – Extremes of Island Morea (Eimia) from S68°W to West. – Loosed courses to dry – Carpenters employed as before Broached a Puncheon of Spruce Beer.
