4 pm: Some Albatrosses and Sheerwaters seen
7 pm: In 1st reef Topsails.
8 pm: Light breezes and cloudy
12 mid: Moderate breezes and cloudy weather
3 am: In Top Gallant Sails
4 am: Fresh breezes and cloudy
7 am: People had the usual breakfast of Gruel & Portable Soup
8 am: Thick squally weather with dark clouds
9 am: In 2nd reef Top Sails – Exercised some men at the Quarter Deck guns, and the Marines at Small Arms with blank cartridges – Served Krout Wort & Vinegar – and Borecole soup for Dinner Down Main Top Gallant Yard and bent the old sail
12 noon: Very thick weather, with small misty rain. Gunners employed making wads
