1 pm: Moderate and fair weather – Sailmakers employed mending the Pinnace's Covering, and the men mending their Cloaths
6 pm: In studding sails and 1st reef Topsails – set Fore Top Mast studding sail – Worked the Pumps as usual.
9 pm: Moderate breezes and and [sic] cloudy. A fire kept in all night in the Galley
12 mid: Fresh breezes and fine weather – Saw some Blubber as we had done for two or three nights since
2 am: At 2 squally with rain – at 3 fair weather.
6 am: Out reefs and made all sail
8 am: Thick Portable Soup Gruel for breakfast & Sour Krout and Sweet Wort as usual – Saw a flock of Sheerwaters following some Skip Jacks – Dry cleaned below with fires. Exercised the Pinnace men at Small Arms and the Marines at Platoon firing – People working up Junk, and Cooper mending Buckets
12 noon: Moderate & fair with a SW swell – Assistant in Company
