1 pm: Fresh gales and fair weather with a long swell from the Westward
3 pm: Squally with light showers of rain
5 pm: In 1st reef Top Sails.
6 pm: Squally with hard showers of rain – Worked the Pumps as usual; and set ye Fore Top Mast steering sail
8 pm: Moderate breezes and fine open cloudy weather Fires lighted all night to dry & air the ship – Out 1st reef Main Top Sail and set Main Top Mast Steering Sail
2 am: Cloudy with light showers of rain
4 am: Fresh breezes and squally with rain at times In Main Top Mast Steering sail, out 1st reef Forward, and set the Fore steering sail – Saw 2 Cape Hens, and a small Whale called Fin-back
7 am: Served Portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast.
8 am: Fine breeze and cloudy weather Washed the Gun Orlop & Cockpit Decks, and aired with fires. People employed making Points; Sailmakers repairing sails – Served Sour Krout and Sweet Wort as usual, and Bore Cole in the Pease for Dinner Saw a piece of rock weed and 2 Albatrosses, some Petterals and a Cape Hen
