Bond's Providence Logbook Jan 2, 1792

Remarks &c towards New Holland Monday 2nd January 1792

 1 pm: Fresh breezes and cloudy weather – Swell from the SSW.

 3 pm: Saw several Porpoises and brown Sheerwaters.

 6 pm: Saw Albatrosses and Cary Chickens (Peterel)

 7 pm: Out 2nd reef Main Top Sail.

 8 pm: Fresh gales with frequent squalls.

10 pm: Cloudy.

 7 am: Moderate and cloudy.

 8 am: Out 2nd reef Fore Top Sail & set studding sails

 9 am: Washed the Gun and Orlop Decks &c. Caulkers on the Quarter Deck.

11 am: Exercised the boat crews at Small Arms, and served Slops & Tobacco to the people.

12 noon: Moderate breezes and fine weather Assistant in company
   Latitude Observed 37°.33′ South
