Friday 2nd. December 1791 – Moderate breezes and fair weather received 1254 pounds of Raisons and 1680 pounds of Krout. Dark cloudy weather. – 4 AM small rain – 8 Fresh gale & cloudy; received fresh Mutton, Bread, Greens &c. sailed the ship Chacer of London, Cleaned ship. Artificers employed variously – Fresh Gales and cloudy weather
Saturday 3rd Ditto Weather. down Top Gallant yards anchored here an English Whaler – Squally weather down lower yards & Top Gallant Masts. Strong Gales and heavy squalls – struck Top Masts and got a range of the sheet cable upon Deck At 4 AM Moderate breezes and cloudy – 8 Fresh gales received Fresh Mutton &c. Sailed a french ship for Martinique with Slaves – anchored a french ship Employed occasionally – Ditto Weather.
Sunday 4th – Fresh gales and clear weather. At 6 strong gales and squally – 12 heavy squalls. 8 AM. Up Chests and Bags and washed the lower Decks and Cockpits. received fresh Mutton &c. Ditto Weather.
December Monday 5th – Fresh gales and clear weather at 11 Squally –
4 AM. more Moderate – 8 Fresh gales and clear. received fresh Mutton – sat up the rigging
