Bond's Providence Logbook Sep 27, 1791

Remarks &c Tuesday 27th September 1791

 1 pm: Fresh breezes and squally weather made and shortened sail occasionally

 2 pm: Rain

 3 pm: Cloudy – the sun seldom see during this day – Saw a Man of War bird.

 8 pm: Hazy weather

11 pm: Moderate breezes and cloudy weather – Kept a fire in the Galley all night.

12 mid: A steady breeze these 4 hours [12-3am] with flying clouds and lightning in the NW – Backed and filled the Mizen Top Sail as required for the Assistant

 6 am: Moderate and cloudy weather

 9 am: Up all chests &c and washed to Gun Deck, cleaned the Orlop and Cockpits, and lighted Brodies stoves – Dryed the small sails and peoples Clothes.

12 noon: Tacked ship and stood to the Westward. Fresh breezes and cloudy with a swell from the southward Assistant in company
   Latitude Observed: 4°:20′ North
