1 pm: Light airs and cloudy with several hard claps of Thunder
4 pm: Rainy weather
5 pm: In 1st reef Top Sails
7 pm: Brodies stoves kept in during the Afternoon in the cockpits – the Galley fire in all night
2 am: A fine breeze and fair weather made sail.
4 am: Breeze increasing
5 am: Out all reefs and set Studding sails.
8 am: The Decks cleaned and the stoves lighted in the cockpits – Collected 6 Puncheons of rain water this forenoon – Thunder in ye NW. Dark unsettled weather with very heavy rain – People catching water from ye Awnings.
11 am: Made and shortened sail occasionally.
12 noon: At Noon a breeze from the West. Fore Top Mast and
Top Gallant Studding sails set – Assistant in company.
