1 pm: Fresh Breezes and suddenly dark Cloudy Weather threatning much Wind.
2 pm: Heavy Squalls & Rain. In all Sails
3 pm: Set Close Reefed Top Sails.
4 pm: Out all but 1st Reefs.
5 pm: Fair Weather. Exercised Great Guns. Worked the Pumps as usual. Six Sail in sight
2 am: Tacked. Sounded with 106 fathoms Line no Ground.
5 am: Tacked. Four Sail in sight
7 am: Breakfast as usual.
8 am: Fair Weather Cleaned below. Mustered in Divisions and saw every Person clean dressed. Exercised Great Guns.
10 am: Three Sail to leeward hoisted English Colours
12 noon: Fair Weather Assistant and Prize in Company.
Allowing the Havanna in 82°..18′W as per Requisite Tables, we are 27 Miles to the
East of it; but taking my Longitude from Cape Antonio which
is per Sayers Map 3°..5′, we are 0°..9′' to the West of it.
