1 pm: Fresh Breezes and Cloudy with fair intervals. Employed regulating the peoples Bedding.
4 pm: I saw a Seal. Oceanic Birds as usual
6 pm: Spoke the Assistant and sent them some fresh Mutton. All Well.
10 pm: Heavy Dew
4 am: I now supposed myself in Latitude of 38°..58′ South and altered my Course to be nearer the South part of St. Pauls in the morning, its Latitude being by my Observation last Voyage 38°..48′..30″ South & its Longitude 77°..42′..19″ East.
8 am: Thick Misty Weather and Fog. Gave a hot Breakfast to the people as Yesterday.
10 am: Served Sweet Wort and Aired Ship with Fires.
12 noon: A Few Minutes before Noon the Weather cleared & got a good Observation for the
Latitude; but it still continued thick above the Horizon in the North, through which we saw the East
End of St. Pauls bearing NNE½E distance 14 Miles.
